Our Story

Hello, I'm Avery Bright

Bright Young Life Management LLC, is where care, support, and advocacy come first. I’m Avery Bright, your dedicated full-spectrum doula, newborn care specialist, child birth & lactation educator, and end-of-life doula with a deep commitment to Black birth justice, perinatal equity, and holistic family care. As a Black Jamaican American mother of four young adults (including a set of twins), I understand firsthand the systemic disparities that impact Black birthing people and families. My work is rooted in advocacy, education, and hands-on support to improve Black birth and perinatal outcomes, ensuring that families receive culturally competent, affirming, trauma-informed and evidence and experienced based care. I center Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA2S+, and other marginalized communities, providing trauma-informed, inclusive, and empowering support at every stage of life. But my advocacy doesn’t stop at reproductive healthcare — I also work within death justice, ensuring that BIPOC, and other marginalized communities have access to compassionate, culturally competent, and dignified end-of-life care. Too often, our communities face systemic barriers in death care, end-of-life planning, grief support, and post-death care, leading to unnecessary stress and loss of agency in final transitions. My care also centers families with infants and children facing terminal diagnoses. I provide compassionate, holistic support extending through palliative and hospice journeys, offering emotional, spiritual, and practical guidance in end-of-life care and planning rooted in dignity, love and community-centered values. At Bright Young Life Management, I provide end-of-life planning, legacy work, home vigils, grief support, and advocacy for families navigating loss. Whether you’re planning ahead for yourself or supporting a loved one in their transition, I offer guidance on advance directives, funeral alternatives, home-based death care, and culturally centered rituals that honor your traditions and wishes. My mission is to ensure that death is met with the same care, respect, and empowerment as birth, so families can grieve, honor, and celebrate life in ways that feel authentic and healing. At Bright Young Life Management, my team and I provide comprehensive newborn and family support, doula services, and life management solutions tailored to the unique needs of each family. Whether you are navigating pregnancy, non-medical abortion support, postpartum, infant care, pre-teen, teen and midi life support, lactation, or end-of-life transitions, we offer compassionate, expert guidance designed to uplift and protect our most vulnerable communities. Beyond individual care, my work extends to community advocacy, education, and training, equipping families and caregivers with the tools to advocate for better birth outcomes, reproductive justice, and equitable healthcare access. I believe that true care is community-centered care, and I am committed to building a future where every Black and marginalized family receives the dignity, respect, and support they deserve —in both life and death. By prioritizing the needs of the most vulnerable, we create a foundation of care that is more just, inclusive, and accessible to ALL. When we uplift those who are most often left out, we foster a world where everyone is seen, valued, and cared for with compassion. 📍Based in Los Angeles | Serving families in-person & virtually anywhere in the U.S. 💛 Care. "Avery is truly the best! She cared for our son, from the moment we got home from the hospital! She is one of the kindest people I've ever met and I felt so taken care of and safe having her in our home for 3 months. She gave us advise throughout the postpartum time period and guided us through all the major transitions that come with having a newborn. As a plus, she was also so sweet and loving to our two year old daughter. We can't recommend her enough! She truly made the first 3 months feel like a breeze. "
